Question 1

What is ArmFast's definition of "open source"?

Accepted Answer

ARMFast is an open-source middleware platform: the source code is open to access, forking, and contributing. Production use requires an activation key, and commercial deployments require a paid license — an open-core model that is auditable end-to-end while remaining sustainable to build.

Question 2

Is it possible to operate it without any cloud provider?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ArmFast is self-hosted infrastructure that doesn't rely on any cloud provider, and the full stack can boot from an encrypted external drive, leaving no trace on the host machine.

Question 3

What are the supported LLMs?

Accepted Answer

ArmFast is model-agnostic, avoiding vendor lock-in by supporting self-hosted models such as LLaMA and MoralGPT via Ollama or other LLM providers.

Question 4

How does TurboVec compare to FAISS for production?

Accepted Answer

TurboVec is a vector memory layer that replaces FAISS, reducing memory footprint by 16x (31GB to 4GB for 10 million documents) and improving performance by 12-20% on ARM hardware without requiring training.

Question 5

What is the difference between Temporal, Conductor and Prefect?

Accepted Answer

Temporal handles durable workflow orchestration for compliance-critical applications like KYC and case lifecycles. Conductor is a visual-builder engine for AI agent orchestration. Prefect manages AI/ML inference pipelines on GPU infrastructure. Together they route each workload to its native engine within ArmFast's self-hosted automation system.
